This game has a special charm; from the very beginning, the visual style caught my attention, and the retro vibe reminded me of how much I love the Game Boy aesthetic. You can really see the care put into the graphics and the effort behind the design.
That said, I do think the mechanics for upgrades and equipment could be explained a bit better. At first, I was a bit lost trying to figure out how to equip and upgrade, which led to several runs where I couldn’t survive much because I didn’t understand how to get a weapon. Also, I could only play in a small window (as shown in the screenshot), since it didn’t allow me to make it bigger.
It’s a shame that the project didn’t continue after the Jam, because with some polishing, this little gem could shine even brighter. Great work, definitely a memorable game!
